Hmmmm Still trying to stay strong....my beloved Fadekemi its 5:44am US central time yet my eyes are still wide awake as sweet memories of you flood my mind. I still can get over the shock that you are gone from the human realm. Earth has lost a rare gem indeed.*sobs* I remember getting an alert and seeing a post on your facebook wall reading RIP... I couldnt comprehend it so i started pinging you on blackberry messenger and when you never responded i instantly grew cold feet and knew all wasnt okay. Up till now sleep has eluded me. Too many unanswered questions but who are we to question the Almighty, for HE alone knows best and HE is always in control. Thus I am holding onto the many good memories we shared. They will linger on in my heart forever. Down memory lane; As teens we played together and shared numerous visits to each others houses after school hours and on weekends, chit chatting away on all topics permisable. Yes! I was at your place rather than resting at home or attending extra lessons after school. Your Parents and older siblings were always very warm and I always felt very welcomed. You were such a good company, always giving constructive words for us who sought them. I humbly, yet boldly say that being in your company, being your friend was value added. Though the journey of life tried to distance us, you remained a good friend. Going forward; I recall so vividly our many recent conversations via blackberry messenger and on our high school MGHS 98 set forum. I remember the many stories and jokes you constantly cracked us up with... Oh dear, theres going to be a very large vacuum there without you. Iya Insurance! "Where went She".... *subtle chuckles and a tear or two shed* Oh, not forgetting the Joke of the century you played, I still term it the funniest of the lot, which happens to be the funniest individual pix till date that anyone in the group has ever uploaded. In the pix, you were sitted in the dark and had loads of calamine lotion all over your body especially on your face with a white cloth (wrapper) tied across your chest... Oh my ...thats was hilarious. We all laughed to tears that day. Many said they were gonna use the pix to scare/caution their kids anytime they misbehaved, while some even threathened to upload the pix on facebook... Awww! the good times.. Its all coming back so strong!... Our irreplaceble Iya insurance. You will be greatly missed by all who knew you ... "Sun re oooo! Ore mii" Mmm! there are still too many to recall. Another good occassion was when you were in Abuja recently with Irene Senaya and we got chatting via BBM... How we both were teasing Irene about her fervent refusal to join the blackberry network in this present dot com age. we laughed and joked so hard...mmh! Little did we know you would leave us so suddenly *sigh* I also remember when i had just given birth to my daughter in January, how you congratulated me wholeheartedly and promised me "Omugwo" during my next visit to Nigeria... I told you then that i will definitely take you up on that promise but that isnt to happen any longer... I am consoled that you passed on for a good course in which you exchanged your life for that of your precious God given child. For I know She will know love as you gave love. She will grow up to know she had a great and beautiful mother who constantly watches over her from the heavens above. Fadekemi(IYA NI WURA).... sleep on my dearest!
